RÚIAN open data: addresses, buildings and territorial units
source: cuzk.gov.cz · RÚIAN
Why it is worth attention: RÚIAN is one of the few large state registers published in full and on a regular schedule – address points, buildings, parcels and territorial units from municipalities down to electoral and school districts. For civic-tech projects it is a basic building block: an address or a municipal boundary does not have to be pieced together from sources of your own.
What to watch out for: the full data with addresses and buildings is downloaded per municipality (the VFR exchange format in XML, address points in CSV as well), so a nationwide database has to be assembled. State files come out monthly and change files carry the changes in between. And RÚIAN is not the land register: ownership data is not part of it.
